Culling The Most Marvelous Pattern For Your Progeny’s Nursery
Posted in Family on March 11th, 2011 by authorWhile riding the bus home from a post-natal gym session last week, two moms were having a discussion about their newborn babies. They made comparisons among their infants’ schedules for sleeping and eating and then talked about the benefits of cloth and disposable diapers. After that, they started swapping tips about who they’d heard were the neighborhood’s most reliable babysitters. At last one said to the other, “Even though I’d been yearning to decorate a nursery and had a lot of fun doing it, I wish someone had told me it would be so difficult.”
She commented in these words: “It took less time for me to select fabrics and accessories for redecorating my entire apartment then choosing the perfect items for my son’s crib bedding. “I never imagined,” she went on, “that there were SO MANY adorable, cute, imaginative, attention-getting choices. I thought I’d never make my mind up!”
The other moms around her were very sympathetic when they heard that this new mom had had a lot of trouble choosing just the right baby bedding set. Because really doing an online search is like entering a jungle without a guide, because those who create nursery linens offer such a vast array of styles and designs in their selections of Crib set patterns.
It undoubtedly is a help when you start by taking an inventory and doing things in steps and stages prior to sitting at the computer to do an online search of items for the nursery. The first decision is to determine the style or the time period that inspires the design, and second, to pick out a color scheme, although it’s possible to reverse that order. After you’ve done that much, you’ll have narrowed the search down quite a bit so that it becomes a great deal easier to locate the perfect pattern.
Parents with taste look for classic nursery bedding for their little boy or buy an ensemble in a fabric with stripes or polka dots in lush shades. For the parents who desire a more informal approach in choosing patterns, checks, plaids, appliques, and pastel patchworks may be an option. There is a wide variety of beautiful patterns, complete with bright graphics and designs, which would visually stimulate your child and provide a remarkable look for his/her room.
Boys crib bedding will often show exciting sports scenes of athletes in action, or imaginative images of manly hobbies such as boating, camping, or fishing by a lake. There are a variety of amazing linen patterns out there; surround your son with images of heroes right from the start by adding sheets in his nursery that feature images of police officers, firefighters, pilots or cowboys or astronauts. As the months pass by, little boys delight in exploring real and fictional characters and creatures which are full of whimsy and charm to the point that they will eventually know each and every name. Plus, if Mom can’t choose, she can just let Dad choose what he’d like because he was once a little boy himself!
