THE COMPETITION
The Mrs. Great Britain 2009 contest will take place from the 27th July 2009 till the 1st August 2009 at a 5 Star Central London location to be confirmed soon.
Between now and the final event there are three stages:
1. First Stage – Registration:
You are required to pay a non refundable £99 registration fee and complete your two application forms, familiarize yourself with the terms and conditions. Then you have officially entered the contest!
Deadline for registration will end on the 1st March 2009!
2. Second Stage – Voting: The First Most Important Aspect of the contest!
This stage requires you to get as many votes as possible from the general public, your friends, family, colleagues and sponsors.
If you are being sponsored, your sponsor will be advertised on our website, and it is important you let us know, so we can advertise that for you. If you make it through to the top 100, your sponsors will also be mentioned in the programme event book of the show, or additionally can request an extra advertisement space at an extra charge.
This is a very crucial part of this contest so please take this very seriously. You will understand why in the next few lines.
Voting will run from 1st March 2009 –31st May 2009. We will be updating you regularly each week with the top 100 contestants, with the most votes!
Details of how to vote will be displayed on the Mrs. Great Britain Website at a later date.
The top 100 contestants with the highest number of votes will go through to the final stage and collectively compete for the title. You will be notified well in advance, once the voting has closed and if you have made it through to the final 100.
You will be judged on your personality, evening gown (of your own choice), and a white swimsuit (can be a one piece or a bikini, wraps can be optional) for the final night, but most importantly, throughout your entire stay you will be judged during the seminar classes about empowerment for women (covering a range of topics especially designed for women from emotional and financial issues), as well as during rehearsals, and any events or activities planned for that week for you.
From this point, the 100 finalists will need to secure sponsorship and pay a fee of £449. (Please note; you do not need to pay this yourself, you can get sponsors, family, friends, and work colleagues etc to pay this for you).
This fee will cover but is not limited to: up to a 7 day stay at a luxury hotel, 3 quality organized meals a day, training in the life coaching program, workbook and material, participation at the Mrs. Great Britain event, one complimentary ticket to the show for a guest of the contestant, an official handbook, and website exposure.
Any deviation of this will be at the expense of the delegate and outlined in the official rules and regulations form.
Here is the important bit. The contestant with the highest number of votes is guaranteed a spot in the final 5/6.
3. Third Stage – Hotel, Rehearsals, Seminars, Main Event:
The top 100 contestants with the most votes, chosen by the general public will make it through to the Third Stage.
On the final night of the show, the top 20 contestants out of the 100, will be chosen, by the judges based on a scoring/point system. From this 20, the finalists will be broken into the top 5 contestants.
The event will run from Monday 27th July 2009 – 1st August 2009.
You will be expected to arrive at the hotel on the Monday, and you will be roomed with another contestant, in time for the contest to begin on the Tuesday morning. Your accommodation will be covered for you till Sunday morning when you check out.
You will need to provide your own transportation, both to and from the venue.
The main final show will take place on Saturday night (1st August 2009) at the Hotel where you will be staying, venue to be confirmed. Family and friends are all invited for the final show, and tickets will be available to be purchased nearer to the time.
Family members/friends are allowed at the event during your stay, but not during your seminar classes or rehearsals. If you do have any family or friends attending, staying at the hotel during the week, it is your responsibility to make your own arrangements/bookings.
During the entire week stay at the hotel, you will be required to attend all the seminar classes, rehearsals for the final show, and any events/activities we have planned for you. (You will be getting judged on all of these, so please take note of this).
An itinery and a list of things you will need will be sent to you with the details nearer to the time.
Some of the prizes include cash, jewellery, all inclusive holidays for 2, spa breaks, and designer handbags/gowns.
This will be a very glamorous event, and will give you an opportunity as well to take time out for yourselves, be pampered and make amazing new friendships.
